“It looks like a parrot”: Martín Menem ordered Germán Martínez to shut up in the middle of the Deputies session

Martín Menem clashed sharply with Germán Martínez during the final stretch of the special session held this Wednesday in the House of Representatives . The speaker of that chamber grew tired of the constant interruptions from the leader of the Union for the Homeland bloc and practically ordered him to shut up .
“ Representative Germán Martínez, don't say any more . I'll give you the time, don't say any more. You've been talking all day. Representative Tolosa spoke three times as much as she had to, and I let her. And you're shouting at me and talking to me. You sound like a parrot. Please ,” said Menem, visibly annoyed, before returning the floor to Representative Álvaro Martínez, of La Libertad Avanza.
"Go on, Congressman," he told the Libertarian legislator, who, turning to his Kirchnerist colleague, challenged him: "If you want an interruption, Congressman Martínez, I'll give it to you."
"Close, Representative (Álvaro) Martinez, let's balance it out. Just speak. Please close the floor," the Speaker of the House interrupted. "I'm trying to close the floor," the Speaker of La Libertad Avanza replied, as the murmur grew in the chamber.
"Close the floor, Congressman, your time's up. Enough, Congressman," Menem insisted, and tried to give the floor to another member of the House. As Álvaro Martínez continued, he warned him. "I'm calling you to order, Congressman Martínez, that's enough," he warned, overlapping his voice.

A few minutes earlier, in the midst of the question of privilege that Lilia Lemoine had raised, Martín Menem criticized the leader of the Unión por la Patria party for not stopping talking while his colleague was speaking .
" It's torture to have you talking to me here all day ," he complained, pointing to his ear, and pointed out that it is well known that you cannot re-vote on a question that has already been voted on.
Another part of the session that featured both of them occurred after the approval of the bill granting more funding to the Garrahan, when Germán Martínez asked the other legislators to maintain a quorum in the chamber to address all the issues on the agenda. Specifically, he sought to ensure that the delegated decrees signed by Milei were addressed.
In response to the request, Miguel Angel Pichetto (Encuentro Federal) presented a point of order requesting that all bills be voted on without speakers. Menem rejected the request, arguing that there was a work plan, which was ratified by a motion presented by Radical Fernando Carbajal (Democracy Forever) to respect the agreement.
